Night 39

Good morning!  First, I would like to welcome the new viewers from India.

Last night my dad and I hiked later than usual (at about 9:00). It was not too windy while we were hiking, but there was a lot of heavy and wet snow falling. It was about 25-30 degrees so it was not too cold.

After Nemo

The wind started to pick up speed last night about 10:30. It was hard to get out to the tent fall asleep because of the wind. Considering it was so windy I was surprised that it was the most comfortable night yet. I had a fleece lined sleeping bag beneath me and as usual the Marmot sleeping bag on top of me. The Polaris didn't even sag, even though the wind sounded like a drum against the tent.

When I woke up this morning I figured that we had gotten about 5 inches of snow, which is a lot for where I live.  A little bit had blown in under the door, and our boots were frozen to the ground in the vestibule.

My mom got a text last night that one of my soccer teammates slept out in the storm, too!  CB, leave a comment and let me know if you stayed warm all night!
