Nights 335 and 336 - 29 nights to go!

Hi and welcome back!

Sunday night: 34 degrees
Monday morning: 33 degrees
Monday night: 36 degrees
Tuesday morning: 31 degrees

It's been quiet in the tent the last few nights.  I had a really hard time falling asleep on Monday, beause there were coyotes howling up on the hill.  Other than that, not much has happened.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Quiet yes...I see it as quiet confidence...I see determination...perseverance...setting goals that go beyond one's immediate needs...of setting a course among many chosen courses of one's life that go beyond our immediate wants and needs...of setting out for something not known but rather growing into what will certainly be one important stem in the growth of the mighty oak that will one day be the culmination of your life...The first leg of many successful legs of your life is coming to a close and though the next one is either far off or yet to be defined, continue going forth, confidently, knowing your legs are guided well...Enjoy the quiet of your last few days of this challenge "Kid!"...RJR

    1. Please amend the above to say: "...of NOT ONLY setting out for something not known but ALSO growing into what will certainly be one important stem in the growth of the mighty oak that will one day be the culmination of your life..."

  2. L.C., you are AWESOME! You're in school with my daughter, I graduated with your mom, and I know your dad. I've always thought you were a great kid, but had NO idea you were doing this. You're an inspiration to kids everywhere. I hope you realize how absolutely amazing you are. I can't WAIT to see what you do with your life as you grow older.

And your parents are awesome too, to let you do all of these things. One day, you'll realize how rare they are, and appreciate how lucky you are to have them. Keep it up! I'll be counting down your last few days with you!

Are you excited to sleep in your bed again? LOL!

  3. Quiet...yes, because the wind has been calm lately! I don't know many adults who are able to commit to a challenge and see it through; you must feel proud of yourself because you are so near the end of this chapter in your young life. Come January 1, I wonder if you'll have trouble sleeping in the house? I look forward to hearing what your next challenge will be.
